This error normally occurs whenever there is no communication between the two decoders. Meaning there is no heartbeat signal and the problem can be associated with many things.
To solve this problem, the first step to take, is to check your cabling and make sure every f-connector is well fixed in the right port, call Dstv office for them to pair the two decoders really well, check the distance between the primary and secondary decoder. Any distance above 30 m will experience a signal problem.
when using a Dstv smart LNB in your extra view installation, you have to add the right user band figures to send the heartbeat signal.
