DStv error E143-0 is the most common error experienced in extra-view Installation. This error will pops up on your decoder when there’s lack of communication between the two Dstv decoders.

1). The distance between the two Dstv decoders should be one of the major things to look out for. You can’t do Dstv extra-view installation whereby each decoder is sitting in a different house. DStv limits the distance between the two pairing decoders.
With two Dstv zapper HD Decoders installation, the distance can’t exceed 10m and that of two DStv Explora Decoders , the distance shouldn’t exceed 20m.
2). The decoders extra-view capabilities should be the next thing you have to check on.
Not every Dstv decoder model can be used for extra view installation. So identify the two decoders that you are pairing to know which one is causing the heartbeat problems. some decoders might have heatbeat signal problems, although they are capable of Dstv extra view installation. You can send your Dstv decoders to the nearest DStv office for check up. If possible you have to change decoders is to get your extra view working.
3). Your installation (Cable Connections) and Dstv gadgets being used in your DStv extra view installation can also cause error e143-0 . Dstv smart LNB is the best recommended LNB to be used in extra-view installation, even if you are using two DStv Zapper HD Decoders. You can opt using a dual LNB plus two diplexers if you can’t afford the smart LNB. Anytime there is an error or no signal problems, the first thing is to check all your cable connections and f-connectors to make sure every cable is well fixed.
4). The pairing of the two decoders and activation from DStv office should be the last thing to look out to. After doing all the necessary connections you can’t let the two decoders work without the activation from DStv office. So contact Dstv customer care representatives put pressure on them for the extra view activation.
