In modern technology, you can access a smartphone internet on a satellite receiver. There are newly made satellite receivers that have a built-in Wi-Fi for internet connection and others too, you are required to connect it to external Wi-Fi dongle.

To connect your smartphone internet, first get a USB cable that can transfer data. Connect the USB side of the cable onto the USB port on the satellite receiver. Take Note that most decoders have multiple USB ports but the ports that works well for internet connection will have an indicator, a written word, or a sticker. Make sure to insert in the cable into that port with internet indication.
After that, connect your Smartphone and go straight to the network settings menu on both devices.

* Look For Network Settings / Internet Settings And Press OK
* Now Wait For The Smartphone To Show up
* Press OK To Connect And Save

* Look For Hotspot / Tethering And Press OK
* Turn On The USB Tethering.
After the connection has been made successfully you can now use the smartphone internet on your satellite receiver. Most receivers comes with a built-in apps such as YouTube, iptv and other video streaming platforms.
